so the new, improved Inner Sanctum Studio is up and running, for the most part. I've been playing with the new mics and positioning and that kind of stuff to learn to "play to the room", as it were. The Will McBride Group has rehearsed there a couple of times, and the need for a better use of space is apparent, so I got the idea that I would just throw some shelves together to get some gear consolidated.

So I just bought a $20 digital camera (ain't technology grand?) to play around with, so the pic of the day is...

Christmas for me happens today - my last show of the year is done! Wow, it's been quite a season - Raleigh Symphony holiday show, two Durham Symphony holiday shows, 2 coffee-shop gigs with the Will McBride Group, and four shows for the Durham Christmas Pageant! I'm starting to feel like a real musician! Now that all that's over, maybe I can get back to maintaining this site (not to mention things like practicing, composing, working on my books...)!

Anyway, it's been a good year, I've seen lots of growth in myself, and I feel like I'm going into the new year in a good position for a lot more growth to come. Maybe a bit freaked out by the big 3-0 coming up, but I'm sure I'll get over that!
