Just got an email from Will Woltz, with whom I've been doing some recording. He's got some gigs coming up around the Triangle...

Hello friends ---
I'm very excited to be performing several times in the next few weeks, in some cases with friends from the NC Songwriters Co-op. I hope you can drop in, say hello, sing along, and generally support live music in the Triangle.

The Percolator Lounge
5039 Falls of the Neuse Road
(Quail Corners Shopping Ctr. in North Raleigh)

I'm opening for songwriter Mary Rocap, and hope to add some guitar during her sets as well. She's recently released her second CD, Indian Summer. Here's more about Mary: http://www.ncsongwriters.org/artists/rocap/index.html

In the "back to school" file...

You know how your teachers always told you that you'd be flipping burgers for the rest of your life if you don't learn your spelling? Well, here's proof. That's right kids, shinning bright indeed!

Now everybody's going to call me on all my typos, aren't you?

In other news, prayers for all affected by the recent hurricane, and though N'awlens is getting all the press, let's remember those in surrounding regions as well. The towns there tend to be small, poor, and well, "not caucasian", so don't expect to hear too much in the news, but that doesn't mean they don't feel the pain of the destruction.
