I guess it really does make it easier to find these if I actually put the link up, huh? Sorry about that!

I wouldn't really consider Raleigh a Jazz town, but there is a hidden wonder in local celeb. Steve Hobbs. One of the few pro vibists in the world, he plays with the nationals, but still lives right here in Raleighwood. Catch him every Friday night at Nanna's downtown. Make a night of it - dinner and a show!

My newest observation about music hobbyists trying to be pros... "Do it once, it's fun, do it twice, it's work!"

Studio news... Work is progressing with songwriter extrordinaire Will Woltz (esq.). Trying to get 2 tunes 100% for the triangle songwriter's competition in Sept., then it's into "album mode" to get the other 10 or so done! Tribal World View is still working in the background, but hopes of having an end-of-summer release are probably not that realistic!

My latest obsession is the possibilities of recording sessions over the internet. Email files back and forth between studios, never have to break down and set up a drumset, and work in the comforts of home! I'll be updating on this frequently, I'm sure, but I'm really psyched about how many doors can be opened up by this technology (which is now pretty commonplace)!
